Bord na Móna’s reputation has again been recognised as RepTrak 2013 confirmed its position as Ireland’s No.1 Energy company for the third year in a row and amongst the top 5 semi-state companies overall.
The survey measures corporate reputations of Irelands top 100 companies and is closely watched both here and abroad.
Bord na Móna CEO, Gabriel D¹Arcy said “Bord na Móna is a company that has been deeply committed to progressing the best industry standards in the energy sector. Our reputation is very important to us and this is a terrific recognition of the high regard that Bord na Móna is held in.
It is especially gratifying to get this acknowledgement as we are now talking to communities across our heartland Midlands region about our plans to develop the Bord na Móna Clean Energy Hub. We have already begun to build wind farms on some of our cutaway peatlands and are working closely with groups and communities at all the various stages of development.
Lasting reputation cannot be manufactured overnight, it is something that requires a demonstration of excellence over a period of time. Beyond today’s result, I am continually impressed by the fact that Bord na Móna’s reputational standing is continually mentioned in the feedback from the communities that we have been serving for the past eighty years”.
